Pre-export QC

Before anything is exported, PrismFilm checks the program for problems a viewer or a platform would notice. Errors block the export; warnings let it go ahead. Many problems have a one-click fix. QC doesn't use credits.

Run QC

1. In Render Farm, choose the project and preset under New render.
2. In Pre-export QC, pick the platform: YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Podcast or Broadcast (EBU R128).
3. Run QC. It renders a small proxy of the program and measures it. The summary shows No errors or N error(s): export blocked, the warnings, the loudness (LUFS) and the true peak (dBTP).
4. Fix what it finds, then Check again.

If you queue a render without running QC, the render runs it first and stops on errors.

Black at the very start or end (a fade) is noted but not a warning. Safe zones are approximations of each platform's layout.

Common problems

• "Blocked by QC errors" on the queue button: fix the errors (or disable the missing clips) and Check again.
• "The project changed since the last check." Run QC again; the old report no longer matches.
• "QC failed". The proxy couldn't be rendered; check that a render worker is running and the media is ready.
